Classes
Piedmont Earthskills Gatherings offer a wide array of classes that cover many core areas of primitive skills, wilderness thriving skills, and homesteading. The three foundational skills are fire starting, flint knapping (making sharp tools) and cordage (making rope and string). Other imprtant basic skills are awareness skills (like tracking and wayfinding), finding food and water, and making shelter. We also often have classes in areas like music, story telling, metal working, wood working, weaving, tinctures, community health, and much more!
We offer 15 to 20 different classes per day, split between two sessions during the day (one session on Sunday). This helps to keep class sizes smaller and more intimate. Each session is about three hours long, allowing instructors to fully cover their topics in detail for most classes. For a better understanding of the diversity of classes that we offer, you can view our class schedule at the link below.
