Weather Note
Please note that the weather in the Piedmont in early September can be unpredictable. Most likely, there will be a range of conditions and we encourage everyone to pack accordingly.
In recent years, we have seen highs of 100 during the day in early September and had lows in the low 50s in the morning. Typically, temperatures are in the 70’s and 80’s during the day and 60’s at night.
Assume it will rain; if you don’t, it will.

Helpful Extras
The following items are considered optional but can be very useful or go a long ways to increase your enjoyment of the gathering.
- Folding chairs or seating accoutrement for sitting on the ground
- Cash for craft shopping & class materials fees
- Extra shoes and socks
- Note-taking materials
- Musical instruments
- Binoculars
- Communal snack food – Sharing food with others during a class or around the fire is a great way to feel community and meet new people. We highly encourage this practice, especially when you are sitting next to us.
